Tea in the United States covers everything from a traditional Chinese or Japanese tea house to a Southern sweet-tea counter, and the fastest-growing segment is bubble tea: Taiwanese-style milk teas and fruit teas with tapioca pearls, sold by chains and independents alike with adjustable sugar and ice levels. Tea rooms serving afternoon tea with scones and sandwiches usually require a reservation, while boba shops, juice bars and smoothie shops are walk-in and quick. Kava and kombucha bars are a newer category, and loose-leaf tea stores sell blends, teaware and gifts, often with a tasting counter. Prices for a drink run similar to coffee-shop prices, with premium teas and cold-pressed juices at the high end.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 6β9 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (910) 789-9972. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

Wilmington is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Wilmington is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

A cozy, small teahouse with delicious regional cakes and confections that immediately charms, especially as soon as owner Tamara steps out and talks you through the options. It may be a shop, but you feel as if you're a guest at a friend's house; if you enjoy pleasant conversation over snacks, you must visit. We had a slice of Russian honey cake (medovik) topped with fresh strawberries from Tamara's farm which was light, delicate and absolutely delicious. With it we had homemade apple marshmallows in the shape of flowers (zefir) which disappear like clouds of semisweet apple in your mouth, unreal. She brewed us fresh masala tea which paired ideally. Nothing was labeled with prices (which added to the illusion of being at a friend's house; she asked what we'd like and she served them and sat with us) but everything was reasonably priced especially given the quality of the food. If you are in Wilmington, you just have to go. It's an experience not found many places in America and you will not regret it.

A delightful, elegant, cozy atmosphere and place that offers delicious hot tea, Turkish coffee, scrumptious handmade desserts, cookies and fresh fruits. I immediately felt very welcomed and the lovely owner Tamara was very charming kind and attentive. I enjoyed meeting her, trying Turkish coffee for the first time which I found to be delicious and possibly the best coffee that I've ever had. I chose to try one of the beautiful flower confection desserts, too pretty to eat and it was delicious. A unique personalized experience. My first time in a tea room anywhere and I will certainly come back to this one again and again. Thank's so much for a wonderful time and lovely evening. This truly made my whole day special.

Tamara custom-made super delicious Eastern European desserts for us: Medovik (honey cake) and poppyseed roll. I felt like I disappeared into my childhood for a moment, they were super delicious. Got them for my momβs birthday and she was pleasantly surprised as well. I recommend Tamaraβs desserts and home-grown flowers.

Came in here on a date and was greeted by the owner. She is very sweet and gave us a brief tour around the shop with art and introduced us to some European Deserts. We ended up getting European chocolates, A Turkish raspberry Candy, and a Zefir to go with the tea. Would highly recommend.
